BNP Get Drubbing In Cumbria
In Allerdale all the seats that the BNP stood in, they came last. Mark Ashburner in Barrow came fourth out of four. In Carlisle the BNP did slightly better in SOME wards although still didn't get anywhere.
Congratulations to everyone in Maryport Against Racism who has worked hard to ensure that the BNP have not been allowed to spread their hatred in Cumbria. Thanks to all our comrades who have worked along side us from trades unions, political parties, UAF and individuals. The victory is ours.

I thought the BNP in maryport done very well considering that they only decided to stand two candidates six weeks ago. If you look at the percentages i.e Labour (mummy and daddy) against the BNP, the BNP got two thirds of the votes. Slightly better than you yourself did in silloth. Victory is Mrs Snaiths a honest hard working socialist. As Arnie says 'we,ll be back.' God bless the queen and democracy!
Ellenborough - Labour vote 1215, BNP vote 342
Ewanrigg - Labour vote 1182, BNP vote 276
Together in Maryport - Labour 2397, BNP 618. Now I'm no mathematician but I'm pretty sure that that is nowher near two thirds of the vote.
Well Jonathan, what can you say, the fash have never been known for there mathamatical skills...
Apperantly they did really well despite haveing less councilers now then before May the 3rd...
Even better news was that down the road in Copeland they couldn't even get the 10 residents signutes needed to stand on the ballot paper
